Get ready for the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce’s upcoming events

Tonya Salomon, membership and marketing manager for the legendary Key Largo Chamber of Commerce, joined Good Morning Keys on Keys Talk 96.9/102.5FM yesterday morning to talk about upcoming events.

Members in Motion is coming up on May 28.

Salomon said, “We do the Members in Motion event for May on May 28. It’s going to be held at SBI Windows and Doors here in Key Largo, and our host is the IOA, the Insurance Office of America. And it’s going to be a great event. This is going to be a fantastic opportunity to come out and have some drinks, have some food, and get into that networking, 5:30 to 7:30 is the time for that, and it’s going to be great. It’s going to be fantastic.”

A luncheon with Senator Ana Maria Rodriguez is coming up in June.

Salomon said, “The event is happening on June 11, 11:30 is our start time at Baker’s Cay. So, it’s going to be a fantastic luncheon with Senator Ana Maria Rodriguez, sponsored by Regan Roth Insurance Agency, and it’s going to be, I believe, one of our biggest luncheons this year, if not the biggest this year, because everybody wants to hear what she has to say, and of course, enjoy the beautiful Baker’s Cay. So we are very excited about that. Registration is open for both of those events, you can just go to our website, and go through there and sign yourself up, and we would love to have as many folks as possible.”

The Coffee Connections and Conversations Sunrise Businessing Network event is coming up on June 4.

Salomon said, “We’re doing it quarterly. This is our second one, and we are at Vicky Bakery for all of them, and those are starting at 7:30am. The June 4 event, our guest speaker is going to be the Wesley House Family Services folks, and we’re very excited about that great opportunity again to get out and meet other business folks and network and just start your morning off with a great purpose.”

The Key Largo Chamber of Commerce presents all of the big festivities and celebrations in the Upper Keys around the Fourth of July.

Salomon said, “It is going to be huge, and we are also celebrating 50 years of the Chamber doing Fourth of July, and we are very excited about that, and of course, we want to give a big thank you to our presenting sponsor, the Key Largo International Airport, our platinum sponsor, Reef House Sundowners, and the Keys Weekly. We are so excited, we’re not only having the parade, but we also, for the second year now, have brought back the family picnic at Key Largo Park, and of course, the awesome fireworks over the bay in the evening. It’s going to be a fantastic time. We’re looking for vendors, parade folks. We still have some sponsorships available, and everybody is so excited about it. It’s so heartwarming to see all of the community just be excited and ready to do this great event.”

Being a member of the Key Largo Chamber is incredibly beneficial.

Salomon said, “You can do everything from brochure distribution to having posters on the walls, information there about your business. And our visitor center staff is wonderful. They are so knowledgeable. It’s a great place to stop in, even if you’re a local, if you haven’t been up to see it, it’s a neat place to take the kids, too. There’s some great history there, and great information about our community.”
