DO NOT MISS the Nautical Expo this weekend!

Steve Miller, executive director of the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce, joined Good Morning Keys on KeysTalk 96.9/102.5FM this morning to talk about upcoming events.

The Nautical Expo is happening this weekend.

Miller said, “It is incredible how popular this event has become. We have over 100 vendors that are going to be there, and we sold out all of our spaces almost a month and a half ago. That kind of gives you a testament to how good this thing really is. You’re going to find things for fishing, you’ll find them for snorkeling, diving, boating. There’s artwork, which people like as well. You’ll find great things for, like your patio and stuff like that. There’s a beautiful jewelry and, well, so many really, really cool things. We have vendors that come from, well all over Florida. Because when we advertise this thing out initially, we just kind of blast it out to all other vendors. So they come from, I believe our furthest one this festival is from Orlando, and we have people that are all the way from down here as well. There’s going to be great musical entertainment. And there’s fantastic food too. We’ve got a whole row of food trucks, great food and great music, where you can sit at the picnic tables under the trees. I looked at the forecast. We’re looking at about the mid 70s, sunny, not windy at all.”

The 21st annual Big Pine and Lower Keys nautical Expo will be from 8am to 4pm Saturday and 8am to 2pm on Sunday.

Miller said, “My sponsors are the ones that make it possible. I want to remind people that the traffic is going to be kind of intense, because it always, always is, because of the festival itself. Monroe County Sheriff’s Department is going to be out there helping us out, as they always do. They are so cool. Thank you Rick Ramsay, you’re awesome and parking predominantly around the old US 1.”

The Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce is at mile marker 31 on Big Pine Key.
