Key West Police Department Officer Of The Month:
Officer Esteban Andrade
The Key West Police Department is pleased to announce that Keys Talk Radio has Officer Esteban Andrade as their Back the Blue Officer of the Month for October.
“As Officer Andrade’s supervisor, I see firsthand the dedication and professionalism he brings to our department,” said Sergeant J.W. Waite. “An Army veteran, devoted husband, and father, he serves as a role model for younger officers through both his work and the example he sets in his personal life.”
Andrade is known for his communication and de-escalation skills, which help him resolve difficult situations with patience and sound judgment. He also plays a key role in training new officers, sharing his experience and helping them build the confidence and skills needed to serve the Key West community.
Andrade’s commitment to helping others extends beyond his assigned duties. As a member of the Love Fund, he volunteers personal time to support and advocate for the program.
“Officer Andrade represents the kind of service, mentorship and character we want every officer at this department to aspire to. We are proud to recognize him as Officer of the Month.” said Chief Sean Brandenburg.
