Monroe County Sherriff Department Deputy Of The Month

Deputy Guiardinu was hired by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on August 1, 2023, and at the beginning of 2026, accepted the position of Marine Deputy for the Lower Keys. Since taking on this specialized assignment, he has excelled through his proactive enforcement, strong work ethic, and commitment to protecting the natural resources of the Florida Keys.

Deputy Guiardinu has maintained an exceptional level of activity, including 117 resource checks, 54 vessel stops, 24 vessel citations, and nine resource citations during the reporting period. His enforcement efforts have included criminal citations for undersized and out-of-season lobster and undersized hogfish, as well as multiple citations for out-of-season stone crab violations. He also arrested an individual for illegally taking a conch.

Deputy Guiardinu has quickly proven himself to be an asset to District One and the Sheriff’s Office. His initiative, productivity, and dedication to protecting the waterways and marine resources of the Lower Keys make him highly deserving of recognition as Deputy of the Month for September 2026.
