The Reagan Day Dinner has only a few more seats available

Rhonda Rebman Lopez, chairwoman of the Republican Party of Monroe County, joined Good Morning Keys on KeysTalk 96.9/102.5FM this morning to talk about the Reagan Day Dinner.

The dinner will be held on November 4 and the keynote speaker is Congressman James Comer. Riley Gaines will be the guest speaker.

Lopez said, “It’s going to be a spectacular evening. Congressman Comer, I spoke to him yesterday. It’s going to be a wonderful event. It’s at the Marriott Beachside. I authorized one more table to be added yesterday due to overwhelming demand. So if you want tickets, you better get them today.”

Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.keysgop.com/

Congressman Comer is from Kentucky and serves as the chair of the Oversight Committee.

Lopez said, “He’s a real go getter and we are so fortunate to have him. It’s such a busy time. He’s going to give us a great talk and fill us in on the inside of what’s going on in Washington DC.”

Riley Gaines is the University of Kentucky NCAA swim team champion swimmer, diver scholar Athlete of the Year for the Southeastern Conference in Women’s Swimming and Diving. She has actively campaigned against the participation of trans women in women’s sports.

Lopez said, “I’ve heard her speak before and let me tell you, she is something else. I’m so happy. I have had so many people calling me not only from Monroe County, but from Dade County wanting to come and participate and sponsor our dinner. It’s just overwhelmingly wonderful. What a great response we’ve had for this dinner.”

The dinner will also be a fundraiser.

Lopez said, “It’s going to be a wonderful record setting fundraising event. We are raising more money than ever. (The money goes to) GOP causes to get Republicans elected through across the board.”

The spaces are going fast.

Lopez said, “We always have people coming in at the last minute wanting to pay at the door. But if a sponsor calls me and wants to be involved in the VIP dinner, I can see what I can do because that is limited as well. They can call me personally at 305-389-2979. That’s basically the best way to get it done at such a late time. I wish we had a lot more seats available, but we’ve filled the room.”

The VIP dinner is for the sponsors.

Lopez explained, “We had people that purchased $15,000 tables, $10,000 tables, $5,000. It’s for those people that are large sponsors. We had sponsors come in not only from Monroe County in the Florida Keys, even commissioners out of Miami Dade County and business leaders there. I’ve received a lot of phone calls, believe it or not, from other chairmen of other counties in Florida, asking me how I got these speakers. I said, well you just outwork everyone else that’s how you do it.”

There will even be a surprise guest.

Lopez said, “We do have a special surprise guest coming in from Dallas, Texas. So it’s going to be something else.”
